Genre/Style: Norwegian walking tune similar to Swedish ganglats
Other Tunes in Set:
Region: Norway
Notes: A gangar seem likely to be a relative of the Swedish ganglat or walking tune. Called a march in the ABC above, the description in the very beautiful video says, “This is a Gangar (traditional dance tune) from Norway, from Smålene, which is the old name for the country of Østfold, south east of Oslo.” Anyway, it’s lovely played at a comfortable walking tempo.
