*Notes: Peter has composed this tune “dedicated to the stalwart folk musicians and jammers of Vermont who have zoomed on tirelessly through the [covid 19] lockdown.”

About the title, Peter wrote, “After a little research I learned that the Winooski is a main trading river in Vermont. In our local area the main river is the Humber [in East Yorkshire, England].”  Well “trading river” is a bit grand for the Winooski, but we’re honored, nonetheless.

He wrote, “When you told me how you and your musical crew were still playing Father Pat’s Hornpipe on Zoom, I decided to try to write a tune dedicated to your group. I wanted it to have a flavour of Scottish/Irish music but also some of the North American and Canadian styles close to you.”

Thank you, Peter.
