Randy writes, “[This tune] has an interesting history. The version I learned is from Jeff Troxel, an excellent musician from Montana/Wyoming. He calls it Bayne Water and plays it Bluegrass style.Turns out it is an old Northern Irish Protestant song that is an important part of their culture and heritage. Sometimes it’s a slow lament, other times it’s pretty snappy.”
