*Notes: Peter Macfarlane writes, “It is in fact a march from Cape Breton rather than a strathspey. The dottedness and the preponderance of snaps suggest strathspey, but there’s something hard to define that tells me otherwise.”
On the other hand, someone we know learned the tune from Pat Chafe’s daughter who taught it as a strathspey, so the jury remains out.
