Susan Reid writes: “The trick lies in the rhythm. The second half of the A part starts a beat later than you expect it to, giving the tune an interesting swing.

*According to a comment on TheSession, the composer, Simon Riopel, “spent [a] whole day moving stoves (des poêles) and could hardly move his hands, so he wrote this really nice waltz that didn’t require his fingers to be too fleet.”
